As long as I can remember
Darkness filled my past
The coldness of the night
This shivered down my back
I remember a time when
Misery ruled my life
I haven’t lived in light
Haven’t cast a shadow

Cause I live in the shadows, I slept with the dark
I roamed the streets of hatred
Not knowing where I belong
I went from town to town
Unable to find happiness
I almost given up but there was
One thing that saved me

I told my self that I won’t
Continue living this way
I try and I try but it is still gonna stay
Am I suppose to feel this non sense
Suppose to feel this pain
I want to get a tan; I want to feel the rays
I think Im cursed, is this my faith
I’ve looked in every corner, every hidden place
I don’t know what to do, I feel
Lost and confused
I get showered with some thoughts
That I tend to ignore

Cause I live in the shadows, I slept with the dark
I roamed the streets of hatred
Not knowing where I belong
I went from town to town
Unable to find happiness
I almost given up but there was
One thing that saved me

This is to her, this is the one
Who lifted me out the darkness and bought
Me to the light
When I look at this person
When I look into her eyes
This warm funny feeling
Makes me glad that im alive

With her pretty blue eyes
Her long silky hair
The comfort that she gives me
Every time she is near
She makes me laugh until I cry
When im not there, she just sighs
Thanks to this person, I could finally
Breathe again
I could move on with my life, and forget about the rest
This one special person made me live again

Cause I lived in the shadows
But not anymore
I slept with the dark, now I
Could turn the light on
I roamed the streets of hatred with someone by my side
I went from town to town and I stopped and I found happiness
I almost given up but there
Was one girl that saved me
Her name you don’t know of
But she’s one in a million
