Looking Back

Children’s laughter
echoing in my head
times spent stupid,
not one of them I dread

harassing phone calls
sneaking out the door
chasing freedom
holding on to much more.

A car alarm’s beeping
they’re running after me
driving so fast
to plot a new destiny.

Faces unknown,
unfamiliar, all alone
who would’ve thought
that I’d be missing home?

Steps not trodden
another day on the horizon,
show me what I’ve got to lose
finding your hand to hold,
keep still, let our lives unfold.

who needs to leave?
when you’re here with me
who needs freedom?
when you’re already free

I Remember!!

This song reminds me of the way I felt when I ran away.I know;Stupid Right? Those are some of my most precious memories, "Before I ran away". Nice work.Shelly R.W.

I don't remember this one? I really like it though. Keep writing.
